home-made egg tart with animal puff pastry cookies

 Puff Pastry (Shortcut)


Ingredients  (easy to remember:(cup) butter: flour: H2O=1.5:3:1)

3 cups (15 oz.) unbleached all-purpose flour
1.5 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1.5 cups (24 tbsp.) cold unsalted butter, cut into ¼-inch cubes(cold butter)
½ cup  water with 3-4 ice cubes
2 tsp. lemon juice

Filling: peach jam + 2 eggs +2 TBSP condensed milk, blended well.

Directions:

To make the puff pastry using blender to prepare the flour mix(1-4 ingredients) at the beginning.
Combine ice water and lemon juice in a small bowl then gradually add in the mix until the dough clump together. 
Compress the clump together in a plastic bag then fridge at least 30-60 min.

Shape the puff pastry.
Baking at 400 F 10min.
Filling in the egg mix and baking another 5 min.
